Overview

JOB PURPOSE:

 Provides technical and functional support in the areas of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems administration, problem resolution, support, process mapping, system testing and development, security access, and training. Works in conjunction with Business Owners and Software Engineers to establish additional technologies that will provide business process automation.  Analyzes existing systems for improvement, recommend new system processes, and keep detailed representations of all structural and process changes while creating efficiencies in procedures and technical solutions.

Responsibilities

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

  • Works with end users to resolve business issues, support end user experience and provide technical support and instruction to the user community to assist in the efficient completion of required business processes
  • Assists in developing business processes and procedures to ensure integrity of ERP system and databases
  • Thoroughly understands ERP subsystems in order to assess process impact on downstream processes and recommend/design improvement methods
  • Thoroughly understands ERP subsystems in order to assign appropriate system access to users at different levels across the institution
  • Analyzes current business processes and recommends methods for process improvement leveraging both existing and new technologies.
  • Troubleshoots application software and database problems on a timely basis
  • Works as a system analyst with key personnel to help define user needs and develop data processing solutions
  • Maintains liaisons with business staff, technical staff, and extended support organizations for resolution of ERP issues
  • Works with end-users to analyze, design, construct and implement small applications in support of improved business operations; documents applications and provides cross-functional training as needed
  • Works with end users on all functional modules to document business needs/requirements for upgrades and enhancements and assesses risk mitigation and communication for ERP upgrade activities
  • Research and analyze all aspects of existing business practices and procedures
  • Develops and presents training materials for end users
  • Leads continuous improvement efforts in identifying efficiencies and methods to gain improvements in business processes leveraging available technologies
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Preferred:

  • Three (3) to five (5) years’ related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

  • Significant knowledge of PCs, database applications and integrated ERP solutions
  • Ability to work well with all levels of management
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), including helpfulness and patience in dealing with fellow employees
  • Ability to manage difficult situations, respond promptly to end-user needs and solicit end-user feedback to improve service and systems
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, exercise discretion, and use independent judgment
  • Ability to analyze system records and translate data
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Willingness to work in a collaborative environment
  • Highly organized but willing to adjust direction when necessary
  • Some travel required
